Sailors go through final flight checks before launching an F/A-18F Super Hornet assigned to the Bounty Hunters of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 2 from the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72). Abraham Lincoln is deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility conducting maritime security operations, theater security cooperation efforts and support missions as part of Operation Enduring Freedom.

The Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruiser USS Mobile Bay (CG 53) and the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74) transit the Pacific Ocean during a photo exercise. The John C. Stennis Carrier Strike Group is operating in the U.S. 3rd Fleet area of responsibility while on a seven-month deployment.
